We're looking for a portrait photographer in the Chicago area to help take our clients' dating profiles to the next level! The person we're looking for has impeccable communication skills, can shoot outdoors in an urban environment, and can work with beginners to capture stunning, authentic portraits.

📸 About the shoots:

• Each shoot is 60-90 minutes
• Deliver 5-30 edited images digitally within 4 days (edited for blemishes, contrast, color & style)
• All shot outdoor in natural light
• Mix of candid, full-body/waist up portraits
• No external lighting/modifiers/equipment
• We'll teach you what works best on dating apps (and what doesn't) based on the data we've collected from +500 clients

🙋🏻‍♀️ This would be a good fit if you:

• Love taking photos of people, regardless of age/background/gender
• Enjoy working on your own schedule
• Love helping people look and feel their best on-camera (even if they're not models)
• Own your own gear/camera and at least one portrait lens (50mm, 85mm or 35mm)
• Want to make extra $ from photography without dealing with all the business stuff (finding clients, lead-gen, marketing, SEO, scheduling, etc.)

💰 Compensation

Our goal is to build a business that allows all of our partners to do their very best creative work and get paid above average rates. We always aim to be fair, transparent and accommodating in all aspects.

50% of each booking goes directly to the photographer.

Rather than pay hourly, we'd rather you have the biggest chunk of the pie. You get paid directly from the client and can collect funds in the way that suits you and your business best (ie. venmo, paypal, etc.). Any tips you might receive are yours to keep.

The other 50% gets reinvested back into the company.

We like to invest back into what we're doing to constantly improve our infrastructure. These funds are allocated to our bio copywriter, marketing, SEO, admin, support, sales, partnerships, subscription & processing fees.

🗓 Hours & Availability

The hours are a bit all over the place, since we only work when a client books us on the website. You get to set your own hours and availability. You also get to approve/deny shoots as you see fit. You can take as many (or as few) shoots as you like, and change your availability when it makes sense for you.

‍On average, our photographers take on 3-5 shoots/month but this can change based on seasonality and other factors (such as pandemics 😥).
